A film of a 10,000 foot descent, hundreds of miles, snow, sand, mountains, and desert. The story of our connection to water and our growing desire to stop the current. It is our hope that the awareness this film creates will lessen some amount of future degradation to the environment and in turn, our quality of life. This awareness will be spread in a way that challenges the definition of adventure in a place rarely considered wild.(Launching May 2012)

Is it Spring yet?
Lots of good news here for The Current. We recently added a new team member, Jesse Lamb. He has lots of great boating experience and will be a strong asset to the team. With his addition, we decided that we needed to have a team outing to celebrate and get to know each other a little better. We floated 10 miles of the Animas that is not commonly ran. The river was at its highest of the year and a huge 400 cubic feet per second. We hit a lot of rocks, had cold hands, and saw tons of wild life. Several types of ducks, hawks and watched a Bald Eagle fish from the river bank. We also noticed lots of straws pulling water from the river, the largest being the Animas La Plata Project. The short afternoon outing gave confidence and excitement to the team for the upcoming expedition. Thanks to all involved, helping or following The Current.
